Something part one

Shadow laid under the thick willow tree listening to the load laughter that was coming from the hill the tree was on top. He had the view of the small lake, and the picnic that was at the bottom of the hill. He stretched his arms and rested. Shadow normally never came to any event that was hosted by the girls. But ever sins Mary made friends with Rouge; things have gotten a little more complicated for him.

He sighed lightly, and then placed an arm over his eyes clocking the sun.

“You know…” Someone said.

“It would be better to sit up agents the trunk then laying under the willow branches…”

Shadow opened one eye looking up to plume colored eyes, he sighed “Ill keep that in mind Mary”

“Like you are keeping in mind that the lunch Amy, Rouge and My self made to feed you and the boys are sitting down at the hill waiting for you to eat it?” She asked with her hands on her hips. Shadow grinned, “Naggy today aren’t we?”

She growled if you want me to go away just say it instead of being mean, I only came up here to get you for lunch!”  Mary snapped. She had a shorter temper then he did.  She left down the hill with her ears pinned back. Shadow sat up with his arm propping him up and watched her leave, she was mad. He could tell, just by the way her ears where pined and the way her tail curled.

Shadow sighed and lay back down, thinking, the sun was bothering him still. Getting up again he scooted closer to the trunk of the willow. Sitting there with his back agents it he frowned. She was right it was shadier by the trunk then under the willow vines.

“Back away from the water I NEED to VENT…now please!!” Mary yelled as she went down the hill.

Amy sighed shaking her head “Boys out of the water!!” she warned. Rouge watched the black jackal come down the hill “God what got her mad now?”

“Who else but the Smart ass Shadow” Amy said. Sonic sat back handing a towel to Knuckles “Bet ya she’s going to use that Bomb, bomb spell” the blue blur grinned. The Echidna smirked “Bet ya she’s not….” He sat down getting ready for the show. If it was one thing they knew about Mary, its when she ’vent’ she puts on a show.

Reaching the lake she kept on walking “WATER AIR!” she shouted at the top of her longs. As she kept walking, bits of her went under until you only saw her swimming and then go under. Tails sighed along with Cream “poor Mary”

“I would rather say poor fish in the lake.”

He watched with curiosity, but noting happened. More then an hour past and no explosion, no nothing. Did she die? Shadow thought, No Mary wasn’t that stupid to do something like that.

“Shadow Come eat!” Rouges called. Shadow didn’t listen to the pat only kept his eyes fixed on the lake searching for bubbles or anything of the sort.

“SHADOW!” she yelled again “Leave him alone its his lose that his going to miss all of this great food” Sonic said. Knuckles looked at the other basket “Why isn’t that one unpacked?” he asked.

“Mary’s and Shadows lunches are in there?” Amy asked. She looked at it and then held it on her lap. She sighed a little, she hated it when Mary was mad, and god only knows what could happen when she got mad. “Because I put his lunch in there” Rouges said with a small grin. “I think it’s time we find Shadow some one that’s as temperamental as him.”

“I don’t Know who to feel sorry for, Shadow or Mary” Tails sighed and ate the last of the potato salad that was on his plate.

Another hour past and there was still nothing

They where getting bored of waiting and all of the food were almost gone, well all but Mary’s and Shadows. Packing up they where going to leave. “Shadow where heading Home!” Amy yelled.

“Fine!” he replied.

“Keep an eye out for Mary!” Rouge yelled.

“Okay!” he said.

The two sighed “Oh yeah there bother perfect for each other, big temper and thy both have a one track mind” Knuckles grinned.

Sonic yawned and stretched “Tell me about it Amy’s the same way”

“So Rouges.”

“Same way Huh” the girls said at the same time. With looks to kill they where mad. Sonic and Knuckles took a few steps back the smiled weakly to the girls “Oh come one you know we didn’t mean anything like that….”

“To late to say sorry!” they yelled.

“CRAP!” Sonic and Knuckles ran for there life’s as Amy and Rouge chased them down the road. Tails and Cream sighed, “Some how I’m glad that I’m sill a kid”

“Lets hope we don’t become like that when where older”

The two smiled to each other “To being kids!” they cheered. Cream picked up the other basket and Tails helped.  They followed down the same road picking up what ever was thrown and sighed.

Shadow sat there with his arms crossed and his back agents the trunk of the willow. Still nothing and it was two hours already. Bubbles formed at the lakes serves and out came a pair of black ears, then a head and then a body and then all of Mary was out of the water. She was dragging something though. Pulling it out she removed her boots, pants and shirt.

Ringing the water out she left them on the blanket that was next to her basket and the thing that she dragged out of the lake. Sacking the water off her fur she pulled her hair back and placed it in a bun and then went back into the water “WATER AIR!” she yelled again and dived back in.  She must have been really mad at shadow to go back in or something had caught her interest and she forgot all about it.

Shadow smirked at the little strip show ”Skinny dipping with the fish huh?” He caught a glimpse of the white patch that was on her back “So she’s not completely unlucky” he chuckled to himself.

Getting up he ran down and backs holding the basket in his hands “Now he was getting hungry. It was always like him He would do what he wanted when he wanted, and it was the same with him and food. Pulling out a sandwich he sat back and enjoyed the quiet of the lake sighed.

Though he wondered what she was doing.
